The Logger’s Ridge Series is nominally set in a small county in ski country in the American north or northeast. “Home on the Ridge” is the third book in the series. The previous two are “May You Meet A Stranger” and “Welcome Home Doc.” “Home on the Ridge” starts almost immediately after the end of “Doc,” overlapping the last part of “Stranger” and merging the storylines.

The new hospital annex opens, promising a bright future for the citizens most in need. The addition is pressed into service even before it is completed, a testament to the resilience of the construction team and the people that support them. Romances initiated during the hospital project grew and flourished, changing many young lives. The video studio started by the youngest members of the extended family to combat misinformation achieves unexpected success and reaches far beyond the small community.

Not all romances are as warmly accepted as others. Racial tensions threaten one couple, but the combined extended family rallies to support their right to love whomever they wish. Health issues threaten another, but, here again, the family’s peer group surrounds them and protects them. And it’s not only the younger members of the extended family who find love. Some of the older ones do as well. Relationships grow and thrive, building around the family’s love for soccer.

In that there are several controversial scenes, the book is not suitable for people under eighteen, evangelicals, or Trump supporters. CRT Trigger Warning.
